About Us

OUR VISION

A more collaborative, unified world where the profound experience of interconnectedness and shared humanity lays the groundwork for systems change and a flourishing future for people and the planet.

OUR MISSION

Kindred Trust contributes to the broad integration of wisdom into society by catalyzing high-impact sacred medicine initiatives in collaboration with aligned partners.

OUR WORK

Kindred Trust cultivates and invests in innovative, mission-aligned plant medicine initiatives in areas that are currently under-supported but have the potential to be high impact.

We also develop and disseminate new ways of doing philanthropy that center reciprocity and collaboration, and foster community with aligned philanthropists and allies.

Our Values

Wisdom

Our approach is informed by Indigenous knowledge and the wisdom of elders, plants, and the plant medicine experience. We respect these knowledges, and acknowledge and uplift those who came before us.

Innovation

We can’t keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome. Innovation and new ideas are needed to catalyze the change we want to see.

Long view

Achieving our vision is a long game. Approaches should be able to be sustained in the long-term, whether by us or by others in the ecosystem.

Inclusion

The benefits and insights of sacred medicines belong to everyone, and we work to shape an ecosystem system that enables broad access and includes previously-marginalized voices.

Planetary thriving

We recognise that everything on our planet is interconnected, and that action in one area has impacts across the system.

Reciprocity

We strive for relationships of mutual respect and understanding, and acknowledge the historic inequality and power imbalances that make reciprocity challenging.

OUR PRIOR WORK

Kindred Trust is inspired by the work and wisdom of those who came before us — the scientists, Indigenous communities, practitioners, and elders.

The knowledge and insights of these teachers formed the basis for our 2024 Psychedelic Listening Project report, which informs our strategy and approach to philanthropy.

OUR TEAM

Kindred Trust was founded by Justin Rosenstein, and is directed in partnership with Circadian Lab.
